Permanent magnetic clamping blocks have 2 or 3 magnetic clamping surfaces which cannot be switched. They are used to clamp very fine parts or materials that are difficult to magnetize, such as high-alloy chrome steel or carbide. After machining, the block with the clamped workpiece can be completely removed from the machine for testing purposes. Magnetic clamping blocks are mainly used for grinding, measuring and wire cutting.
Top quality magnetic clamping balls are used to hold parts in optimum working position during laser welding, polishing and assembly. Depending on the workpiece geometry and weight, swivel angles of up to 90° can be set.
Permanent magnetic clamping block SP-PMB
SP-PMB magnetic clamping blocks have four clamping sides and are switchable by the turning knob at the front side. They are universally usable for flat grinding, angular grinding, coordinate grinding, EDM, measuring, etc.. Due to the fine 2 + 2 mm pole pitch, thinnest pieces (from 0,5 mm) can be clamped safely; on the back there are 4 M5 threads for the attachment of stops. Because of the low magnetic field height of only 2 mm and the complete hermetic seal, SPM clamping blocks are particulary suited for the use with wire- and sparkerosion, SPM clamping blocks in a rust-resistant chrome steel design are available too.

*X = Rust-resistant version made of chrome steel – Caution when grinding, less holding force!
Permanent magnetic clamping block SP-ECB
Permanent magnetic clamping blocks SP-ECB
have a 2-pole clamping area, which is activated or deactivated by a operation toggle at the front side. They are designed for milling and can be used very flexible. Malleable pole raisers are fit on the clamping side which also can be incorporated and reworked. For example, special formed magnet poles can be constructed for difficult to clamp work pieces. Equally, different clamping highs can be realised for staged work pieces. The material thickness of the clamped pieces should not be clearly under 20 mm. Around the magnetic clamping block, several drillings are installed for the fixing of additional stoppers. There are also SP-ECB magnetic clamping blocks in the design SP-ECB+. These have a selector shaft outlet on the back, on which another SP-ECB can be linked, in order to clamp bigger faces with only one switch point at the front. Angle 0.015/100 mm, parallelism 0.01/100 mm.
Several magnetic clamping blocks SP-ECB
can be linked into a widespread clamping system. This can be realised directly on the machine table or on base plates. Feel free to ask questions. We may be able to advise you.
Included in the delivery are:
1 operating lever
1 set pole raisers 232x57x21 mm
1 set blocking strips
1 set position groove stones
1 arbor connector (only SP-ECB+)
Permanent magnetic clamping block SP-PMBP
permanent magnetic clamping blocks SP-PMBP have 3 clamping sides (upside, left and right side) and are switchable by the turning knob at the front side. On the upside a cross-prism is situated. Main applications are grinding and measuring. Angle 0.025 mm, parallelism 0.015 mm.
Permanent magnetic clamping block SP-PMBL
SP-PMBL magnetic clamping blocks are equipped with two opposing, independently switchable clamping surfaces. The neodymium magnet system with a fine pole pitch of 1.5 + 0.5 has a depth of approx. 5 mm and is suitable for clamping small to medium-sized workpieces. The switching shaft can be actuated from two sides, so that the magnetic clamping block can also be used in an upright position. There are two M5 threads on each of the head sides to which stops or positioning aids can be attached. SP-PMBL clamping blocks are waterproof and especially suitable for grinding, wire and die sinking. For use in aggressive media, we recommend the INOX version.

Permanent magnetic clamping block SP-MH
SP-MH permanent magnetic clamping blocks have 2 or 3 magnetic clamping sides, which are not switchable. They are used for clamping of finest pieces or badly magnetisable material, like high-alloyed chrome steels or carbid metal. After processing, the block with the streched work piece can be taken compleatly from the machine for checking purposes. There are MH clamping blocks in the design standard and reinforced (with SE-magnets). Main applications are grinding, measuring and wire-erosing.
