Pneumatic centre-clamping vises
Pneumatic centre-clamping vises are mechanical centre clamps that are actuated by means of compressed air. Compressed air is supplied through two pressure lines that are connected to the centric vise. The compressed air ensures the automatic closing and opening of the centring clamp. The pneumatic actuation of the machine vise shortens the clamping process considerably. If the pneumatic centre-clamping vises is used with placement robots, the process can be completely automated.
Pneumatic centre-clamping vises are used in workpiece automation (large series) for blank clamping and precision clamping. Spreitzer offers various designs of pneumatic machine vises.

pressure. A clamping force regulation is linear through pressure
change. The operating pressure to be set depends on influencing variables for example workpiece geometry, version of
clamping jaws, work material, work conditions and so on. Due
to the above mentioned variables it can be necessary to
adjust the torque value individually.
