Required clamping force

  • The clamping force of the pneumatic and hydraulic centre-clamping vises and compact vises depends on the operating pressure. A clamping force regulation is linear through pressure change. The operating pressure to be set depends on influencing variables for example workpiece geometry, version of clamping jaws, work material, work conditions and so on. Due to the above mentioned variables it can be necessary to adjust the torque value individually.

Practical advice

  • All clamping jaw types of the centre-clamping vise series PZS2 can be used on the compact vise PS. The clamping jaw connection is 100 % compatible.
